What is turnover in a casino bonus?
Turnover (also called rollover or wagering) is the total you have to bet before a bonus can be withdrawn. A ₱500 bonus with 20x turnover means placing ₱10,000 in bets first. If the promo counts your deposit too, the bets needed can double.
| Terms say | Counted on | Bets needed |
|---|---|---|
| "10x the bonus" | ₱1,000 | ₱10,000 |
| "10x deposit + bonus" | ₱2,000 | ₱20,000 |
How the math works
Every bet has a small built-in cost, the house edge. On a slot with 96% RTP, each ₱100 you bet returns about ₱96 on average. The other ₱4 is the house's.
Turnover makes you place a lot of bets. So the real value of a bonus is roughly:
Bonus − (turnover × house edge)
If that number is negative, the bonus costs you more to clear than it's worth. That's common with deposit bonuses at 30x and above, and with any bonus where turnover counts the deposit too.
Things the calculator can't see
- Max bet rules. Many bonuses cap your bet (for example ₱100 per spin) while active. Break it and the bonus can be voided.
- Game weighting. Slots usually count 100%. Live tables and some low-edge games count less, or not at all.
- Expiry. If the bonus expires in 3 or 7 days, check that you can realistically place all those bets in time.
- Max win caps. Free spins and no-deposit bonuses often cap what you can withdraw.
Common questions
What does 20x turnover mean?
You have to place bets totalling 20 times the bonus (or the bonus plus deposit, depending on the terms) before the bonus and its winnings can be withdrawn.
Is low turnover always better?
For the same bonus, yes. A ₱500 bonus at 1x is worth far more than a ₱2,000 bonus at 40x. Also check the max bet while a bonus is active and which games count toward turnover.
What RTP should I use?
Most online slots publish an RTP between 94% and 97%. Use the number shown in the game's info screen. Live baccarat sits around 98.9% on banker bets, but many promos count table games at a reduced rate or exclude them.
Does the calculator include the chance of winning big?
No. It shows the average. Some players finish the turnover ahead and many finish behind. Over many bonuses, though, the average is what you get.
